Amrapali, is the cross of Desheri and Neelam. Amrapali is a hybrid developed by Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. It is a high yield dwarf, regular bearing, cluster and late maturing variety; usually seen in high density planting. The fruit is small and has fibreless flesh and sweet in taste and good keeping quality. Its flesh is deep orange red and the fruit contains approximately 2.5–3.0 times more beta carotene content than other commercial varieties of mangoes.
